Summer evenings in Shizuoka

Enjoy a Japanese summer night in downtown Shizuoka

In Japan, a summer “beer garden” is an open-air venue where guests gather for cold drinks, barbecue and casual dining. Shizuoka’s 2026 lineup ranges from the garden of Fugetsuro, on the former residence site of Tokugawa Yoshinobu, to rooftops near Shizuoka Station, Ryogaecho and Shizuoka PARCO.

Hotel Abant Shizuoka is about a three-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Shizuoka Station. All four venues are within walking distance of the hotel, with outdoor walking times of approximately 3–10 minutes. On extremely hot or rainy days, or if you have luggage, a taxi may be more comfortable.
